This Athens boot uses our proprietary TPU Anchor Disk shank. The Anchor Disk is much wider than traditional steel shanks and will protect more of the underside of your foot. This men's Chelsea boot has been built with a combined cement and stitchdown construction. This construction is extremely durable because the outsole is still stitched to the upper; it is also still pretty flexible because part of the outsole is attached with cement construction. For those who need an outsole that performs, this rubber outsole is also both oil and slip-resistant.
